Junction Box Disassembly

The following instructions describes how to disassemble the junction box on the Mantis rover in preparation for conversion to the Mantis Rover SE.

Only perform this step if your Mantis Rover is currently already fully assembled.

Remove the lid from the junction box.

Use the small screwdriver to loosen the screws on the terminal blocks of the MHAT PCB inside of the junction box then remove all the wires.

Remove the female spade connectors from the positive and negative terminal of the battery.

Remove the 4 screws that secures the Interface Lip to the junction box then remove the Interface lip.

Remove the Platform Bracket from the junction box.

Remove the battery and the PCB platform from the junction box.

Identify the wire splicer type in your kit:

  • if your wire splicers resemble the one below, locate the wires from the motor that are used with the splicer and use the multifunction tool to cut the wires away from the splicer. Cut the wires as close as possible to the splicer.

  • If your wire splicers resemble the one below locate the wires from the motors that are used with the splicer below and simply remove them by opening the levers on the splicer
